WSS Code of Conduct

  1.  Always stay in control. You must be able to stop or avoid people or objects.
  2.  People ahead or downhill of you have the right-of-way. You must avoid them.
  3.  Stop only where you are visible from above and do not restrict traffic.
  4.  Look uphill and avoid others before starting downhill or entering a trail.
  5.  You must prevent runaway equipment.
  6.  Read and obey all signs, warnings, and hazard markings.
  7.  Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.
  8.  You must know how and be able to load, ride and unload lifts safely. If you need assistance, ask the lift attendant.
  9.  Do not use lifts or terrain when impaired by alcohol or drugs.
  10.  If you are involved in a collision or incident, share your contact information with each other and a ski area employee.

Winter sports involve risk of serious injury or death. Your knowledge, decisions and actions contribute to your safety and that of others. If you need help understanding the Code, please ask any ski area employee.

OUR BEHAVIOR POLICY

Participating with the Nub’s Nob Winter Sports School Academy & Racing program is a privilege that we want all athletes to have. To foster a community that is welcoming to all skiers and riders Nub’s Nob will not condone: any unsafe behavior violating Your Responsibility Code or direction and expectations of Coaches, disrespect on part of any participant towards other Nub’s Nob community members and property, or bullying. Should a situation arise the requires additional attention to ensure safety and a positive environment, coaches will partner with staff, parents and the participant to determine appropriate consequences. Solutions may include session omission and program termination at managements discretion.

PICK-UP & DROP-OFF POLICY

All participants must be picked up and dropped off by a designated responsible party. Said responsible party must be communicated to and documented by WSS Desk and/or Coaching Staff. If you would like your child to be released to The Hill after Academy concludes you must submit your wishes in writing to the WSS Desk.

I hereby certify, buy my signature, that I have read, understand and will comply with The Nub’s Nob Winter Sports School Code of Conduct. I understand that it is my personal responsibility to ensure that my actions conform with the provisions in our Code of Conduct and understand that my failure to comply with these provisions may result in corrective actions, up to and including my dismissal from Winter Sports School programing.
